    Pros:

Fun being able to collect the aliens and testing the different abilities.

The open world to explore as Ben and Kevin.

    Cons:

Ben has to be the one that does everything to progress the storyline.

Proximity settings that keep spawning the characters together if they are too far away from each other.

    Overall:

Ben Tennyson returns with a fun new open world adventure after Hex ruins Ben’s vacation and takes all of his aliens away and it is up to ben to get them all back and save the world! This is a great extension of the Ben 10 universe for young fans of the series. Being able to explore the town and complete the main storyline as well as side missions as Ben, or with the help of a friend playing Kevin is fun and the open world is fun for young explorers to find the extra collectables.

Each alien provides ben with an extra ability that helps progress through challenges that may not have been possible before. For example, Heat Blast who has a double jump to enable you to reach higher obstacles, Four Arms is extra strong and can do more damage, Diamondhead has an ice shield and XLR8 can run and do things superfast. Each alien’s particular skill comes in handy against particular enemies and challenges and it is fun testing the different aliens in the different battles.

The challenges are good for younger players and the simple fighting controls are easy for them to pick up and enjoy being their favourite alien. The voices are spot on and fun to listen to as well, just like watching an episode of the series. Playing together is fun too with the split screen option with the only frustrating thing being the proximity setting that spawns the player that is too far away to be next to the other character. So if there any disagreements on where to go, the players will not get very far, just being constantly spawned back to the other character. Also Ben needs to be the one progressing the storyline with Kevin only there as a sidekick for any battles and does not show the same options when trying to progress.

The graphics are good and is true to the series which keep the target audience coming back for more and continue to explore the open world while playing as their favourite alien. A truly fun game for the young gamer and fans of the tv series.
