    Pros:

    Good gameplay.

    Beautiful scenery.

    Cons:

Limited options to improve player in My Career mode.

Unable to play as any of the professional characters.

    Overall:

Continuing on the success of their other games series, the 2K team now have golf added under their banner. This is not a first try into the genre, with the same team previously behind The Golf Club series. This shows in the gameplay with the control meter used to affect both the distance and direction with the timing of each shot. There are a lot of settings that can be adjusted as you progress from beginner to PGA professional, which increases the challenge throughout the game. The swirling wind conditions during each tournament can prove troublesome, especially the higher it gets, as well as dealing with the slope of the putting green. It is definitely not a mindless mashing of buttons type of game and will keep you concentrating from the first tee off until the last putt.

With 15 real courses available to play, there is more than enough to keep busy and enjoy the views without the risk of rain. The career mode is different from titles such as the NBA series where you can upskill your character as you build up XP. By winning tournaments and completing course or sponsor challenges, you are awarded XP which can be used on clothing and clubs. So other than that, no new skills are unlocked to improve which makes it a bit of a downer. Also there is not a storyline to follow with characters coming in and out of your life as you rise through the ranks, which is an opportunity missed. Hopefully this can be built on in future versions.

The ability to build your own course and being able to play online gives it longevity to continue playing even after completing career mode against live competition. This is a fun addition into the 2K portfolio and with the great things that they have done with the other games series, I can see it fast becoming an anticipated title each year.
