The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro

Overall Rating: 8 out of 10 Based on 1 Review

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

    Pros:

More action and more involved storyline than the first Spiderman, great special effects, humour and love stories thrown into the mix. Chemistry between Peter Parker and Gwen is very convincing.

    Cons:

Some corny moments but it helps keep it light-hearted at times.

    Overall:

Really enjoyable movie with great special effects! Interesting storyline to see how Electro comes to be and then how the villians take over Ozcorp and come after Spiderman. You also get to find out more of the missing pieces about Peter's history from the first movie. Jamie Foxx does a great job with Electro! The movie has the usual dark moments but is lightened by some amusing Spiderman antics (and sometimes corny humour). But it's an interesting watch from start to finish!
