Thor (Marvel)

Overall Rating: 8 out of 10 Based on 1 Review

The warrior Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is cast out of the fantastic realm of Asgard by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) for his arrogance and sent to Earth to live among humans. Falling in love with scientist Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) teaches Thor much-needed lessons, and his new-found strength comes into play as a villain from his homeland sends dark forces toward Earth.

    Pros:

Marvel delivers in their usual great form with an engaging storyline, loads of action and some funny humour thrown in too! It does well to setup the backstory for Thor and his villian brother Loki in THE AVENGERS movie that followed. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is a definite draw card for the ladies in this one!

    Cons:

    None worth mentioning.

    Overall:

Really enjoyed this movie! Chris Hemsworth does a great job portraying Thor, a warrior that is thrown into a world unknown while fighting a villian within his own family. Loved the action scenes and the humour thrown in when Thor finds himself on Earth, adjusting without his powers and falling for a scientist (Natalie Portman) while trying to recover his trusty hammer. Definitely a great movie - worth the watch!
