Fun to see all the different Pokemon interacting in the real world.

    Ryan Reynolds voicing Pikachu.

The character of Lucy who plays Tim’s love interest was strange from the first time we meet her and I am not sure if she was supposed to be weird or maybe she is just trying too hard.

Children and big kids for that matter can rejoice that they finally have a real world Pokemon movie to watch and enjoy. Even though the bar is set fairly low when it comes to games being turned in to movies, this one is different in that it is actually enjoyable.

When Tim Goodman is told that his estranged father has passed away in an accident, he travels to Ryme City where the pokemon and humans live and work together to pack up his things. He then meets the cute but wise cracking Pikachu who believes that his father is still alive and together try to work together to solve the mystery of what happened. Ryan Reynolds voices Pikachu with the same attitude and wit he has when playing Deadpool. Close your eyes and you wouldn’t know which movie you are hearing at times. This works well as the humour is for both children and adults.

The animated visuals of all the Pokemon blend in well with the real world and it is great seeing them interact whether they are outside, in an office, traveling in a car, or working in a bar. Pokemon fans will enjoy trying to spot all the different ones in the backgrounds of all the scenes.

Overall this is a fun movie to watch whether you have always been a fan or don’t know the fuss has been all this time.
