Spies in Disguise

Overall Rating: 7 out of 10 Based on 1 Review

Super spy Lance Sterling (Will Smith) and scientist Walter Beckett (Tom Holland) are almost exact opposites. Lance is smooth, suave and debonair. Walter is … not. But when events take an unexpected turn, this unlikely duo are forced to team up for the ultimate mission that will require an almost impossible disguise – transforming Lance into the brave, fierce, majestic… pigeon. Walter and Lance suddenly have to work as a team, or the whole world is in peril.

An original take on the spy game with a lot of laughs.

Young children may not get a number of the jokes.

Lance Sterling (Will Smith) is a super spy who is forced to partner up with tech-nerd Walter Beckett (Tom Holland) when he is framed for stealing and accidentally swallows Walter’s formula turning himself into a pigeon. Lance need to find who framed him and solve the case while Walter comes up with an antidote that won’t make him explode.

It is interesting when the actors who voice the characters are actually playing themselves as the animated characters are made in their likeness which is not that far from their real selves. Hilarity ensues as the opposites are forced to team up with Lance just wanting weapons to kill and Walter wanting to not use violence.

It’ definitely a different take on the spy game and has a lot of laughs throughout. Not just from the main characters but the supporting cast such as Lance’s new bird crew who are ready to ride or die. They steal the scene and guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
