Calvin (Dano) is a young novelist who achieved phenomenal success early in his career but is now struggling with his writing – as well as his romantic life. Finally, he makes a breakthrough and creates a character named Ruby who inspires him. When Calvin finds Ruby (Kazan), in the flesh, sitting on his couch about a week later, he is completely flabbergasted that his words have turned into a living, breathing person.

Written on 1 October 2012 Member since 27 September 2012Pros:Ruby Sparks. Wow, this movie was amazing. It was really a pleasure to watch. The acting was incredible and the story line was so simple that it just kept you glued to the screen. I would highly recommend this movie. I loved that the two lead actors aren't well know and was very pleased to see that Zoe Kazan, the lead actress, also directed and wrote it. A wonderful feel good movie that isn't entirely mainstream but keeps you watching all the way through.Such a delight.

Overall:Great movie enjoyed by 25 age bracket or people in the arts.
