Matt Damon and Sharlto Copley’s performances.

    Different Storyline.

More could have been done with it.

Set in the year 2154, the earth looking like a giant dump, the rich live on a space station, Elysium that resembles the perfect nirvana with all the technology to keep them healthy. After a factory accident, Max Da Costa (Matt Damon) has 5 days to live so needs to get to Elysium to be cured.

Matt Damon has proven in the past that he can play a good action role and Elysium is no different. Carlyle (Jodie Foster) plays the head of security of Elysium and Kruger (Sharlto Copley) her enforcer back on Earth. Kruger and his crew hunt down anyone they need to in achieving their mission. The special effects are good throughout the movie in the battles with the robots and between Kruger and Max.

Elysium proves to be a different storyline than the norm with some good action and special effects. More could be done though with Carlyle storyline and the repercussions of her actions.
