Regis Bulimba

Overall Rating: 8 out of 10 Based on 1 Review

Regis Bulimba is an aged care home set in the heart of one of Brisbane's most appealing inner suburbs, with views to the Brisbane River.

Regis Bulimba offers a lifestyle you'd expect in the cafe-centric hub of Bulimba.   Formerly The Clem Jones Home, Regis Bulimba joined the Regis family in November 2011.  Located 4kms from the Brisbane CBD on a tree-lined street, our welcoming facility is only a short distance from the river and Vic Lucas Park so residents can appreciate the essence of the city in quiet surrounds.  Our philosophy of care is based on bringing spontaneity, companionship and meaning to every interaction and activity.

    Pros:

Great location near the Brisbane river and lots of parks and the Oxford Street shopping district. Great staff that really show they care about the residents, clean facility with improvements happening often under the new Regis ownership (previously The Clem Jones Centre). The staff take the time to show you around, put you on their waiting list and do follow up with you. They have healthy meals and lots of activities for residents including a hairdresser. They have ageing in place which will cater for my father as his condition furthers. They allow rooms for fully government supported residents.

    Cons:

Older building but improvements are being made often. The rooms are not air conditioned so can get very hot in summer so you need to use fans.

    Overall:

I have been very pleased with this location for my father with dementia. He always comments how great the staff are and the family is in contact with them often getting updates about my dad. Being close to restaurants and shops it makes it easy to take him out for outings. The staff do follow up with you so you know your family member is being looked after well.
